In fourth grade, our teacher handed out our weekly multiplicaion quiz. This time, it was different from what we were used to -- we had to mark our answers on scantrons rather than directly on the test. We all thought it was bizarre at the time, but we've only used scantrons since. In middle school, we started using progressbook to check our homework, graphing calculators in math, computers at our weekly library class, and the single smartboard in mr. miller's science class that the whole school fawned over. In high school, we use all these things on a daily basis, and we couldn't have it any other way. It's strange to think that at one point in time, none of these luxuries were available in schools.

I think technology has enhanced our way of learning in many ways. For example, Progress Book helps us get on top of all our work and assigments allowing us to refer back to something we may have missed. Also our cellular devices are so technologically advanced that we are able to, in some cases, video chat, have phone conferences, write e-mails, text message, etc.

technology has helped in some ways immensely in school. using PB, smartboards, and blogs all help very much in getting information organized and make learning convenient. however, there are some technological advances that do not help as much. i feel as though digital textbooks make learning dependent on the internet, which can fail from time to time. furthermore, it can be difficult or tedious to scroll through pages on a computer without losing concentration. overall, i believe technology has its place in schools, but it should not replace tools that have worked for students in the past.

Technology has made huge strides in education since we have begun school. For instance, ever since I came to Orange High School we have been using Progress Book to see our grades and homework. Online textbooks have also been very helpful to me in the past. They allow students to leave their heavy textbooks at school, while still being able to access the textbook for certain classes. These tools have integrated what we know best, technology, and education, making things easier for everyone involved.

Technology has changed a lot since we started school. The most important change, I feel has been the advancement of the internet. This has helped to bring school home if we miss a day of school, or even if we have homework to do that we can use an online textbook for. Over the internet, we can access our grades and our assignments for the week. Technology has made interacive learning more possible, as well. Things like voting through texts and smart boards have made an average lesson into an activity. The advancements of technology have made a lasting impact on our education.

Different products have changed the learning process extremely. Things such as the ipad in certain schools are being used, before there was a smartboard an overhead was the best tool to use. Back when I was in elementary school my teacher would just give me progress grades to tell me how I was doing in class, now I can use progress book which tells me how my grades are and what is for homework. Technology today has made life easier for kids in school, even though sometimes it's not that reliable when minor glitches happen.

I think that the use of technology in schools has become too advanced. We are getting so accustomed to using computers, smart boards, and the internet that we are starting to forget the basic skills of note taking and formal writing without a grammar-check.Yes, technology has been beneficial in the learning environment, and for the sake of being "green," but if we rely exclusively on technology, students will lose the ability to think for themselves. Some of the useful technological tools that we use are smart boards, online textbooks, blogs, and progressbook. However, with progressbook, students re becoming meticulous about their grades. While students should be concerned about their grades, the constant checking, teacher nagging, and overall frustration that is associated with progressbook is often more detrimental than the tool itself.

Technology has changed everything about our everyday lives and our academic lives. Many new pieces of technology have enhanced our learning, especially the internet. With the use of the internet, specifically Google and other search engines, students now have the ability to access information on any topic instantly. This new tool has allowed students to learn about a wider variety of topics much faster and with more insight than we can with old technology.

Technology has changed the way I have learned in school in many different ways. For example, I have been fortunate to have had a few online books available to my use. Online textbooks are very resourceful and useful because you don't have to take your books home from school everyday if you have a computer at home. Also, you can take practice quizzes and tests on these online websites and therefore can get better grades on your tests because you see more examples of sample test questions. Also, having the opportunity to be able to use Smart Boards enhanced my learned because in one of my math classes last year, my teacher was able to save everything. Every problem we worked on in math was on a document and I could open it up on my computer at home. It was useful when I sometimes did not want to take full notes during class or if for some reason I was absent from school and needed to catch myself up on my work, I could then just print the notes and teach myself. Having Progressbook, is extremely useful because I can check my grades at all time and see how I am doing in school. I know my assignments and parents can use this website as well.

I believe that technology has changed the way I have learned throughout my years in school. Since elementary school, it seems that every year, there is something new to use throughout the school. Just recently, Smartboards are in every room now. A couple years ago, only a couple of teachers had them and every student thought that they were the most inovative piece of technology that we had ever seen. Now, computers are faster and even portable now, with laptops, and now some of our cellular devices have internet on them. All of these tools create a more relaxed, yet more interesting learning environment. Especially with Smartboards. It seems that every day, teachers find some new feature. So, not only are they interesting, but they are also creating fun environments to learn in.

Technology has been continually advancing by the minute in our society. There is a piece of technology for out every single task you could possibly think of. If you want something done "theres an app for that". As the years have gone on, technology has been making more of a presence in everyday classrooms throughout the world. High-tech machinary is ubiquitous when you walk in a classroom. Smart Boards, LCD projectors, laptops, and desktops are all pieces of equipment that a lot of schools are now utilizing for the education of their students. The technology that is now available to students greatly enhances the learning experience. Programs such as progress book, interactive blogs, teacher websites, e-mail, smart board programs, online text books, and video conferencing are just some of the tools that are being used by my school and many other schools. The resources available to students today create an enriched learning environment that give students so many ways to take advantage of the education that is available to them.

Technology has changed a lot since I began school. There are many new resources such as PB, online text books, and blogging that help with learning and making it more convinient to others. I agree with Steve that technology has been making huge strides in education and that it can make things easier.

2Situation is right I do remember when we use to mark answers directly on a test that wasn't a proficiency test. When teacher's started to use them I would think it was a big state test.

I agree with Bailey when they talk about online textbooks. Taking large textbooks home can be such a challenge when it is everyday, so online textbooks are defintitely benefitial for students everywhere.

Technology has enhanced the way of learning since I began school, by the fact we are allowed to use are phones, sometimes to write emails, v-chat, have phone conferences, etc. Also, it is extremely helpful to have an online website where we are allowed to view our current grades in our classes and when the homework is due. We refer to this online website as Progress Book. Lastly, we have tons of other useful tools that help us through our daily things at school, such as graphing calculators, computers that are located in our school library that we can use daily, and also the Smartboard that we use in class sometimes.

I agree with Steve in the fact that Online tectbooks and the ability to access homework and worksheets online have been a great advantage to students. It makes life so much easier just being able to put a CD in a computer and have the texbook right there for you. Furthermore, if you lose a handout or forget to write your homework down you can just go get if off of a website. Technology is making life in schools an easier experience for the student.

I agree with what Sam and the Situation had to say. First of all, I can remember back to when all this technology was new and we had no idea that we would become so dependant on it. These days I think we rely too much on the internet. Not to say that I don't appreciate what the internet has given us, but it's still a relatively new concept that can potentially fail us. Imagine if we don't have solid documents to prove our home ownership or our liscense to drive, what if those are all on the internet and it suddenly fails? Where would we be then?

I agree with extra crispy the advancements of technology have made our schools more efficient. For example now we have faster computers a, smart boards, projectors, as well as blogs and computer oriented learning that wasn't available to us in the past. The internet also has online textbooks and progressbook, which both help students do better in class.
